Open Days 2019
What happens on Open Days? Open Days are designed to give you an opportunity to visit universities, TAFEs and private colleges, hear detailed information about courses, visit the buildings and teaching areas, talk to current students and teaching staff, find out about accommodation, scholarships and ask questions!
Which Campus? Some universities have more than one campus. Make sure you visit the campus where the courses you are interested in are taught at.
Who should attend Open Days? Students in Year 10, 11 and 12 should attend Open Days. If you are considering studying at university, TAFE, or private college, you should definitely attend their Open Days. NO STUDENT SHOULD APPLY FOR A COURSE WITHOUT HAVING VISITED THE INSTITUTION!
What do I do if I can’t attend the Open Day, or if it clashes with another institution’s Open Day? Most institutions will have other events you can attend. They might be called Course Information Sessions, Experience Days, Course Seminars, etc. You can find out by calling them, or browsing their website. If in doubt, contact the Careers & Pathways Advisors at BSSC for help on careersandpathways@bssc.edu.au
PLAN, PLAN, PLAN! Go to the Open Day links listed below and register. Closer to the Open Day dates, you will be able to see a detailed calendar showing when specific course sessions are on.
